This exhibition documents Charles Montagu Dammers’ journey to becoming Riverside’s butterfly man. From observation to illustration, Dammers asks you to look closer at our winged insect neighbors.
It’s your last chance to see A Victorian Heritage: Riverside’s Butterfly Man at Heritage House. Spend an afternoon in the gardens illustrating insects in scientific detail, much like Riverside’s “Butterfly Man!” There will be onsite watercolor mixing demonstrations, with each guest having an opportunity to take some of the watercolors home. Afterwards, be inspired by the gardens to illustrate and add color to what you see.
